A Solid Baseline of Experience

The Kiosk Group team boasts three decades of experience in kiosk program development, including award-winning front-end GUI design, back-end database development and communications.

Founded in 1981 by Mike James, the original delivery platform was the Apple II computer. Even then, we were delivering interactive "kiosks" for the Washington Post, Marriott Corporation, and the US Army.

Then as the IBM PC appeared on the scene, we were creating interactive displays for Chrysler's World's Fair Pavilion, developing "InfoPost" for the US Postal Service, and building learning kiosks for Chrysler and the United Auto Workers. As time progressed, we built and designed AmTrak's nationwide ticketing kiosk with IBM, developed a number of retail kiosks for Nine West Shoes, designed several Visitor Center kiosks for the National Park Service, and even developed a Guest Book kiosk that sits in the Nave of the Washington National Cathedral.

We've developed many hundreds of interactive applications over the years for many technologies and on many platforms. We like to think that we've seen and done it all!
